Job Overview

The District Sales Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the overall sales performance, strategic direction, and operational execution within a defined geographical district. This includes recruiting, developing, and coaching a team of Medical Sales Representatives to achieve product sales targets, ensuring ethical practices, and fostering strong relationships with key healthcare stakeholders.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of Medical Sales Representatives.
    • Provide daily coaching, field visits, performance feedback, and mentorship to maximize individual and team potential.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive district sales strategy to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
    • Allocate resources (budget, time, personnel) effectively across the territory to maximize returns.
    • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive activity to adjust strategies proactively.
  • Customer & Key Account Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), major institutions, and influential healthcare systems.
    • Facilitate the resolution of complex customer issues and sales challenges.
  • Compliance & Reporting:
    • Ensure all district sales activities strictly adhere to company policies, pharmaceutical industry regulations, and ethical standards.
    • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, and expense reports for senior management.

✅ Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in: Pharmacy, Science, or Veterinary Medicine.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 4 years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience.
    • Minimum of 1 year of sales management or team leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with demonstrated success in meeting district targets.
  • Skills:
    • Strong Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a sales team.
    • Strategic Acumen: Excellent analytical and planning skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
    • Coaching & Mentoring: Exceptional ability to observe, coach, and elevate the performance of sales professionals.
    • Communication: Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
    • Owns a Car is mandatory.
